Ship's Log: A Great Way To Record Good Times On Deck and Off

June 6, 2004--This SHIP's LOG was put together for boaters who want the most from their ship's record.

These boaters want the ability to log critical information such as maintenance repairs performed on their vessel, their equipment inventory, their sail inventory, etc.

July 20, 1966 – Mutiny! About 3:00 a.m., this morning, because of severe thunder and rain storms (plus 33 holes in the canvas), the crew became restless and later mutinous.     Details of the mutiny are as follows (in proper sequence): 1) "Charlie, Charlie, wake up…….can't you hear the storm?"; 2) "How can you sleep in all this…..don't you care?"; 3) "What do you mean "water repellant" sleeping bags?"; 4) "You and your ideas of fun!"; 5) "If you think I am going to spend another night up here…..!"; 6) "Because of this, my stomach hurts." And that is the way it all began.     As for the captain, despite a pool of water in the polyethylene protective drop cloth over his head, despite his wet sleeping bag, and despite the adverse elements he kept his head and chin up and arrested the mutiny and restored morale (back to an all time high degree of misery).     - CJK/Captain

It was a GREAT read. What made it so special was not the recorded wind speed of the day, or the course setting and point destination, but rather his comments on the characters and relatives that used to join him for a ride, the frustrations he had getting his wife and 3 children ready and organized for a day trip, his dreams and plans for his boat, and his humorous descriptions of cocktail "hour."
